Goodbye
"I'm going to miss you soooooooo much! Are you sure you want to leave and give us some random English girl? She might not like us!" my best friend Lauren Akillop wailed dramatically, clinging onto me. "Yes, I'm sure I'm going! Sarah's already on the plane, so I couldn't back out even if I wanted to. And also, you don't have to necessarily like her, you just have to help her get on her feet, by introducing her to everyone and take her to classes, and that kind of thing." Lauren sniffed sadly and nodded, giving me one last fleeting hug before stepping back so Kat can step in.
Katherine Brune was my other best friend. She was the most sensible of our inseparable trio. Lauren and I were crazy and loud, often not thinking before we do things, like a Disney marathon at 2 in the morning when we had school. I pulled Kat into a big hug, gripping her tightly. When we pulled away, I tell her "Keep Lauren from going totally crazy. And keep Sarah away from my brother. Who knows how long anything between them would last. Don't forget to loosen up once in a while. Y.O.L.O it from time to time, kay?" Kat nodded, blinking tears out of her eyes.
I heard a young voice behind me saying "My sissy, My sissy" Katherine stepped back smiling sadly allowing Charlie a clear path to come running into my arms. Charlie begged "Don't go, don't go. I'll give you one of my cookies?" I patted her back sadly and said into her ear "Charlie I have to leave, you keep all your cookies".
I walked up to my Mum and Dad as they said to me "We are very proud of you May and you go have a good time and call us if you need to talk" "I will always call you, Mum!". I gave them a hug and kiss and went to my brother, Jack. He gave me a quick hug and kiss on the forehead and you could see him trying to hold back the tears. "Owwwwwwwwwwwwww Jacks crying cause he is gonna miss me!" I squeaked. Jack replyedback "There happy tears cause your gonna be gone for a whole 8 months which means I get to use your room for my liar". I laughed and shook my head "No, Sarah's coming! try not to stalk her while she is here".
I turned to face the terminal. Waving over my shoulder one last goodbye. I let a couple of tears escape despite how excited I was about my new life in London for the next 8 months! and that was the first big dicision I have made in my life.
