“C’MON GIRLS TIME TO GET UP!” My mother shouts from the top of the stairs. I groan and get out of bed and put on my stupid white blouse, my red, white, and black plaid skirt and white Keds. I leave my hair in its messy curly state and run down stairs while my sister is getting ready. I go to the dining room table and my mom puts eggs and bacon on plate in front of me. “Is your sister still not ready?” Mom asks going back into the kitchen. “Nope.” I say scarfing down my food and mom walks over to the stairs “Madison Taylor come on Kingsley Private School doesn’t just wait for you!” She yells walking back to the kitchen. Then comes my sister her hair perfectly curled and make up done just perfectly with her uniform on and penny loafers with knee high socks.
As you can see both of us are very different Maddie is the really girly one and I’m more athletic and willing to get sweaty and dirty unlike my sister. “Ahh, yes the little princess has arrived.” I tease putting my plate in the dish washer and she rolls her eyes at me. “Oh please at least I’m not a boy in a girl’s body.” She spats and I glare at her “Whatever, at least I don’t spend my mornings having to look like a beauty queen.” I spat.
“Mom!” We say in unison looking at her. “Girls, why does this happen every morning. Liv give your sister break and Maddie you two there is no need for this.” She says calmly as our dad walks down stairs “What is it today?” Dad asks running his hands through his hair and we start yelling about the situation both of us talking at the same time. “Girls, one at a time.” He says “Okay Madison there is no need to say that to your sister.” He says looking at me “And Olivia you don’t need to talk to your sister that way.” He finishes looking at Maddie. I roll eyes at him he’s known us all our lives, which is eighteen years and he still can’t tell us apart. “Wrong one dad, I’m Maddie and that’s Liv.” Maddie says pointing at each of us “Sorry, girls no go on it’s time to get to school.” He says kissing the top of our heads. We grab our backpacks and head out the door and get into our individual cars, her getting into her Toyota Corolla and I get into my MW3 Jeep. In twenty minutes I’m already walking to my locker. “Hey, Liv.” Lola says coming up behind me. “Hey.” I reply putting in my locker combination. ‘Okay, first class English. Books, Books, where is my English book!’ I think to myself. “Here” Mason says grabbing my book from the locker and handing it to me.
“Girl, you’ve got to get organized.” Lola laughs. “I know, I know. It’s just who has time?” I say walking into the class room, she rolls her eyes at me and keeps walking to her class. “Okay, class. Listen up!” Our teacher, Mrs. Carrick says walking into the classroom.
Lunch comes around pretty quick and I’m sitting at our regular table with my friends; Mason, Lola, Niall, Liam, and . Right now Niall and I are seeing how many grapes we can catch in our mouths and I’m winning by two. “Okay here it comes.” Liam says bending his Spork back flinging the grape into the air and it lands in Niall’s mouth. “Going for Liv.” Mason says flinging the grape at me. I catch it in my mouth and throw my hands up in victory, “Boom b*tch. Put that in your juice box and suck it.” I say. He rolls his eyes and laughs at me “You are such a dork.” He says. “Says you!” I exclaim taking a bite of my sandwich ‘Is the soccer match still on for tonight?” Liam asks drinking his water. “H*ll yeah it is.” Mason says. “The classic girls verses boys. Who will win? The boys? The girls?” Lola and I say in unison like the people who narrate the game. The bell rings signaling it’s time for the third to last class, oh joy History class. I’m so glad art is after this stupid class. I grab my books and head to the class. In ten minutes I’m zoning out day dream about Mason and I winning the soccer match between the boys.
