Chapter twenty five
-JOEYS POV-
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
My alarm caused my eyes to flutter open. I looked over at it. It was 9:30 and I had to film a commercial today for work. I dressed in sweat pants because I was going to have to change into something fancy later. I’m going to Harry’s house for dinner and I was going to OFFICIALLY meet his family. Plus, they will dress me in cute clothes for the commercial anyway. I walked downstairs to be greeted by Brie and Niall having ANOTHER make out session except this time it was on the couch. Brie was on top of Niall and his hands were running through her hair. Gross.
“God guys! Don’t you ever get tired of sucking face? If you keep this up, neither one of you have a face to make out with!” I say scoffing and walking into the kitchen. Brie’s head shoots up and when she sees me she falls off the couch.
“Jesus Joey! Can’t you knock?” Niall whines clearly frustrated that I interrupted their almost sex scene.
“Niall. Honey. You are in the living room.” I say and roll my eyes and chuckling at him. He helps Brie up off of the floor and she drags him into her bedroom.
“Use protection!” I yell up at her and I know she heard me because she slammed her door. LOUD.
I grab a banana and head out the door to come face to face with Zayn. I am guessing he was about to know on my door because he was startled when I opened it.
“Hey Joe!” He said to me.
“Hey Zayny bear! Watcha doin here?” I ask him confused.
“Looking for you actually. Wanna go get some coffee?” He asks me. He looks really sad. I wonder why.
“I would……but I have to go shoot a commercial for my sponsor job. You can come if you want? It should only take like an hour before lunch break so we can talk then? We can also talk in the car.” I ask him and he nods. We climb into the car and he just looks out the widow. After about 5 minutes I break the silence.
“Zayn. What’s wrong?” I ask Zayn taking a glance over to him. He just sighs.
“Perrie and I had a fight last night.” He says to me without looking over from the window.
“Oh my god! What the hell happened?” I ask completely surprised.
“We snuck into a club last night and she started grinding so douche. When we got back to her house screamed at each other for about two hours. I stormed out of her house and walked home. I haven’t spoken since.” He tells me and when he finishes a lone tear rolls down his left cheek. He burries his face in his hands. I have never seen Zayn cry before. I can’t go to work today. My best friend needs me. So I pull off of the road and pull out my phone. I get out of the car and lean on it while it rings.
“Hey Will its Joey. Yea I am so sorry but I can’t make it to work today. I have something else that I need to attend to but we can start shooting tomorrow okay?” I tell him I can’t come then hang up the phone. I turn around to get back into the car when I see that Zayn isn’t in there anymore.
Fuck. Shit just got real.
I pull my phone out once again but instead of calling Will, I called someone else.
“Hey babe! I thought you were supposed to be at work?” He says into the phone.
“I am but Zayn knocked on my door as I was leaving so I said he could ride along. He told explained what happened with Perrie and started to cry so I pulled over to cancel work for today. When I got back in the car Zayn was gone! I am freaking out!” I tell Harry on the verge of tears. I look around once more for zayn while Harry tries to calm me down.
“Fuck!” I scream as I slam my car door shut. I was about to give up when I see footprints in the dirt leading into the woods that were next to the highway. I followed the footprints into the dark trees as Harry continues to try to calm me down.
“Joey, love, calm down okay? Where are you? I am going to come get you! Don’t worry about Zayn!” He tells me but I wasn’t really listening because I heard leaves rustling.
“Zayn? Is that you?” I say.
“Joey! Hello?! Love!” Harry yells into the phone.
“Oh yeah. Sorry, I am next on the highway near-“ I was cut off by strong hand covering my mouth. I dropped my phone and elbowed the person holding me in the face. I Broke from the person’s grip and screamed.
I was soon tackled to the ground with a thud. My head hit a tree root and I started to get really dizzy. L couldn’t remember much after that except that I was screaming. I was screaming and yelling for someone to save me.
“HARRY!!” I screamed.
“HARRY! ZAYN! SOMEBODY HELP M-“ I was cut off once again but this time I blacked out.
-HARRYS POV-
I was on the phone with Louis when I heard a beeping sound from my phone.
“Hold on Lou.” I say as I looked at my phone. A picture of Joey and I kissing on the hill flashed on the screen. I smiled and answered her call.
“Hey babe! I thought you were supposed to be at work?” I say into the phone.
“I am but Zayn knocked on my door as I was leaving so I said he could ride along. He told explained what happened with Perrie and started to cry so I pulled over to cancel work for today. When I got back in the car Zayn was gone! I am freaking out!” She tells me. I could tell she was on the on the verge of tears. I try not to panic because she was already at that stage.
“Fuck!” She screams into the phone as I hear a car door shut.
“Joey, love, calm down okay? Where are you? I am going to come get you! Don’t worry about Zayn!” I tell her calmly. She won’t fucking answer me!
“Zayn? Is that you?” I here her say as I hear trees and leaves rustling. Is she in the woods? She still won’t answer me!
“Joey! Hello?! Love!” I yell into the phone starting to panic.
“Oh yeah. Sorry, I am next on the highway near-“ She starts but is cut off by something. I hear her cry out.
“Joey! Joanna! Where the fuck are you!?” I am freaking out as tears brim my eyes. I can hear her screaming out.
“HARRY!!” She screamed helplessly. I was now crying as I grabbed my coat and keys.
I was climbing into my car when I hear her scream out once more.
“HARRY! ZAYN! SOMEBODY HELP M-“ She yelled but stopped suddenly. She was far away from the phone so I couldn’t tell what exactly was happening but I have an idea. I was still crying when the phone went dead.
