Chapter 11: Day 5
-Day 5: 7:04 PM-
I swear Louis and I were going to die. Harry was a love-struck fool, or perhaps a horny-struck fool, whatever, he was lost in himself and his own thoughts. Liam wasn’t feeling very well, getting a headache because of his girlfriend or whatever. Zayn was nowhere to be found. I was dying of hunger. Louis was dying of boredom. So we decided to hit the beach and would stop for food if we saw anything.
“It’s oddly quiet.” Louis pointed out, his bare feet getting soaked by the tides.
“I think everybody is pretty much avoiding this beach after the party.” I said, putting my hands in my pockets, letting the warm water smother the soles of my feet.
I noticed Louis pointing forward. “Guess we’re not the only ones on the beach here.”
I looked ahead, seeing two girls sitting close by a bed of rocks. I squinted my eyes. One girl’s hair was like a purple dye color, the other girl had on a hat and you could see the dip dye of blond in it. Wait, I knew these two. “I know them!” I exclaimed excitedly. I could also see something sitting between them. Maybe food.
I started running toward them, Louis close behind me. They looked up, hearing my calls toward them. I was panting slightly as I came to a stop, along with Louis. Both girls’ eyes landed on me at first, acknowledging my appearance and looked behind me to see Louis. Louis smacked my arm. “Aren’t you going to introduce me, mate?”
“Ow!” I pouted. I pointed at each of them. “Dakota and Bonnie. Jeez. Now give me a brownie.” I said quickly, flopping down on my bum close to Bonnie and reaching out for a brownie.
They both reached up, as if trying to stop me from eating it, but I already had it in my mouth, chewing. “Niall! You fucking idiot!” Bonnie cried.
“Wha?” I asked through a mouthful of food.
Dakota had a closed fist to her mouth, shock apparent on her face. Bonnie had a hand covering her mouth. The two girls glanced at each other. Louis took a seat on the sand next to me. I slowly chewed on the brownie. “Why is it so crunchy?” I asked, looking at the brownie.
“My fucking God.” Was all Bonnie said to answer that.
Louis grabbed my wrist, looking at the brownie. I looked at him. A grin was coming onto his face. He looked at Dakota sitting next to him. “Don’t tell me there’s… green stuff in this.”
Dakota slowly nodded. Bonnie and Dakota flashed each other a look before Louis just shrugs like there was nothing wrong. He grabbed a brownie, popping it into his mouth. “Mm, they’re pretty good.” He commented, wiping at his lip. “Have you girls had any yet?”
I was slightly confused. First he was going off about some green shit and proceeds to put the crunchy brownies in his mouth. Bonnie reached down, grabbing a piece for herself. She looked at me and Louis before slowly putting it in her mouth, chewing it. She made a face like it wasn't as bad as she was expecting it to be. She offered her other half to Dakota. She made a face at it. “I don’t know…”
I saw Louis reach down, grabbing a small piece. “Hey!” He said to get the girl’s attention.
“Wha-“ Dakota started, but was interrupted by Louis shoving the brownie in her mouth.
“Mmm!” She said in shock, shutting her mouth. She chewed slowly, glaring some at the boy. Louis offered a wink before grabbing another brownie and eating it.
I did the same, too hungry to really care about the crunchiness.
