One Life, Live It
Chapter 1: Day 2
-Day 2: 5:44 PM-
*Abbi’s POV*
“Okay, you guys ready?” Bonnie asked.
“On three, right?” Dakota chimed.
“Yes, on three. Sabrina, do you have the camera ready?” Kariann asked the blond beside her.
Sabrina nodded. She had her phone out, ready to press play. “Start it.” I whispered to her. She did and I started the countdown.
“3… 2… 1…”
“ANDY’S COMING!” All five of us yelled.
Lots of people turned their heads in our general direction, giving us looks like we were crazy. A smile lit up on our faces as every Toy Story character dropped onto the ground, laying there. “YES!” Dakota and Kariann both yelled, jumping up and down screaming. Those two have been plotting to do this for quite some time, since high school anyways, and now finally got the chance to do so.
We had the footage recorded and Sabrina was already uploading the short video on YouTube. The people that were staring at us before looked slightly astonished, they never saw this coming. Kudos to Kariann and Dakota for their idea. The characters, one by one, slowly started to get up and we could hear people talking. “Can we go to the bathroom now?” Bonnie asked.
“You guys go ahead. I’ll wait out here.” I said to the four of them. They nodded before taking off toward the restrooms near here. I took out my phone, playing on it as I waited.
“Excuse me.” I looked up, seeing five boys standing. The one with buzzed hair I noticed was speaking to me. His eyes seemed to be lit up, very well excited. “I just wanted to say, that was absolutely the most awesomeness thing I’ve ever seen.”
He had an accent, possibly British. “Seriously.” The curly haired boy spoke with the same accent. The way he spoke, it was slightly slower. “This kid here loves Toy Story.”
I nodded at the guys. I looked each of them over. They looked familiar, but I couldn’t place them. “Well, um, thank you. It was two of my friend’s ideas.” I said, offering a small smile.
“Come on, guys, I’m starving!” The blond boy complained, pouting at his friends.
“I’m up for some pizza. Let’s go!” The brunette wearing stripes said, putting an arm around his blond friend and pointed ahead at a random destination, dragging his friend along to begin walking.
“You’re going the wrong way!” The darker toned boy yelled at his two friends. He had dark, almost black, hair, styled to a nice quiff.
The two boys stopped, making a show of turning around, walking back toward their friends to head the opposite way. The curly head and buzzed boy waved at me, saying bye as they ran off with their friends.
A couple of minutes later my friends came back. “Hey, what’s up?” Kariann asked as she came to stand beside me.
I shrugged. “Nothing really. Some guys came up to me and said what we did was pretty awesome.”
Kariann looked back at Dakota, where they gave each other a high-five. “Totally don’t regret looking like an idiot now.” Dakota said, tipping her favorite flat-bill hat that had Sonic’s face on it.
“I’m hungry.” Sabrina said as she started to pull her blond hair back into a ponytail. “We should go get something to eat.”
“I second that motion.” Kariann said.
We decided on one of the food stands that we first saw. It was hot dogs, and we spent the last of the money we brought with us. “I think we should head back here in a bit.” Sabrina said.
“Yeah, it’s almost six o’clock.” Bonnie said. “And I’m still kinda tired from the car ride up here.”
“Not only that, but we got one hell of a party to go to tomorrow.”
Ah, the joy of Spring Break: going to parties, getting drunk, getting laid. Panama Beach was having a party tomorrow and we were definitely going. There was going to be free beer and with as many people going to be there, we doubt they would be checking any ID.
We rode a few more rides, calling it quits and heading back to the apartments Kariann, Dakota, and I were staying at for Uni. Sabrina and Bonnie came in the day before, driving for fourteen hours straight to get down here. We haven’t seen each other since the previous summer, so we stayed up half the night talking and barely slept for a few hours. We could all use a nap.
We headed back, us crashing into Kariann’s and Dakota’s joint apartment. I watched as Sabrina got out her laptop, plugging her phone in to get the video off of it. I could hear our screams as we yelled. The rest of us gathered around her on the couch, watching the video. We were laughing, slightly amazed by the video. My eyes caught something.
“Oh, hey, those were the guys that talked to me earlier.” I pointed to the five boys on the screen, slightly on the side.
The four girls stuck their heads in closer, watching the. “Oh, my God.” I heard Sabrina say.
“Is that…” Dakota started.
“One Direction?” Bonnie finished.
Their heads slowly turned toward me. “Why didn’t you say something!?” Kariann screeched.
I held my hands up in surrender. “What? What did I do?”
“That’s One Direction! How the hell can you not know this?” Bonnie cried.
“One Direction?”
“You remember those fan-fictions I’ve made you read a long time ago?” Kariann asked. “The one called Your Touch?”
I nodded. I did remember reading it. “Yeah?”
“You also read one of mine. Time of Our Lives.” Dakota added.
Yeah, I remembered both. I nodded again. “Yeah. And?”
“They were fan-fictions about these guys.” Kariann explained, pointing at the computer screen.
I looked at the computer again, seeing the five guys standing and staring at the fallen Toy Story characters. I shrugged. “Sorry, I didn’t know.”
“I can’t believe you’ve met these guys.” Sabrina breathed.
Bonnie came running over, grabbing me by the shoulders as she stood in front of me. “Abbi, you must, must tell us, word for word, exactly what was said, you hear me!?”
I stared up at her from where I was sitting. I looked over at Kariann and Dakota, both had their arms crossed and stared at me. Sabrina was typing something into Google from what I could see.
She turned her computer toward me. “Here’s a picture of all of them. Point and say who said what.”
“Are you serious?”
“Come on Abbi! You have to understand.” Bonnie said as she took a seat on the arm next to me.
I rolled my eyes. I pulled my legs up and across each other. I pointed at the guy with buzzed hair. “He was the one that talked to me first.”
“That’s Liam.” Kariann said from behind the couch.
“What he say? What he say?” Dakota chanted, wanting to know.
“Sh! Let her talk!” Kariann said, holding a hand up.
God, I felt like I was being interrogated. I’ve forgotten how obsessive all of these girls were over One Direction. It was kind of scary how they wanted to know everything. “He said seeing those characters fall like that was ‘absolutely the most awesomeness thing he’s ever seen’.”
I heard Sabrina chuckling some at my impersonation of the British accent. I pointed to the curly head. “Harry.” Sabrina informed me.
“He just confirmed that this Lamb dude-“ I started.
“Liam!” Bonnie and Dakota yelled at me.
I held up my hands. “Well, whatever-his-name-is liked Toy Story.”
“He does.” I saw Kariann nod.
“Anything else?”
“Other than the blond screaming he was hungry, then no.”
“Niall.” Dakota noted. “No surprise there.”
“I’m so jealous. I wished I didn’t go pee…” Sabrina sighed, turning her computer around.
“Eh, hey! They’re in Florida! They can’t be too far from us.” Bonnie said excitedly.
“Maybe they’ll be at Panama Beach tomorrow.” Kariann said.
“Don’t get your hopes up.” I said, rolling my eyes.
“Whatever.” Kariann pouted, sticking her tongue out at me.
“I’m going to bed.” Sabrina said, closing her laptop. “See you guys whenever I wake up.”
So… that was that.
You welcome :)
