Year 1813

"Rebecca,before I go I want you to have this." Samuel said. Rebeccca opened it. Inside was a necklace. On the bottom was a pink oval pieace. On it was a picture of Rebbeca.
"Samuel...thank you." Rebecca cried.
"If I do not make it back from the war my soul will be in this locket forever. Pass it down from your generation so when I die I can see you and what is coming." Samuel said.
"I dont want you to leave Samuel! What would become of me if you died. I dont think I could ever live without you." Sobbed Rebecca.
"Don't say that Rebecca! If I do not return..go to my brother. He will take care of you." Samuel said tears staring to form in his eyes. From the distance they were calling in the troops. "I must go Rebecca." Samuel said. Rebecca look up to him and kissed him. When they finally broke apart. Someone was yelling that the troops were leaving. Samuel got up and kissed her once more and left. The necklace was left in her hand, while she sat on the ground crying silent tears.

Year 1815

Rebecca waited outside in her garden waiting for the letter that was to come from samuel. Instead a man came up to her and handed her a yellow letter. She opened it slowly.

Dear Ms. Blake,
We are sorry to tell you that Samuel Blake's body has been found in the field of battle field. Later that day he was pronouced dead. We are sorry for your loss and have gave you $10. Hoping that soon you will be able to be back on your feet. Men from Samuel's troop have said that Samuel wanted you to know that he is there with you in the necklace. We do not understand this but we hope you do. Once again sorry for your lose.

Rebecca then cried the next week. But after that she traveled up to Samuel's brother house.

Year 1825

Rebecca was in her bedroom having her servant do her hair up in a updo for her wedding. She was going to get married to John Blake in 3 hours. John Blake was Samuel's brother. He was there to comfort her when Samuel died. After awhile they fell in love, he proposed to her and she declined at first then she relized Samuel would have wanted this and then accepted. So today she was going to get married. Her wedding dress was pure white and had long flowy sleeves.


Here hair was in a side braid down the side with some things in her hair.

She was still wearing the necklace samuel gave her when he went off to the war. That day she got married to John Blake.

Year 1945

Rebecca stood in the room doing her daughters hair for her daughters wedding day. The daughter wore this dress:

When the daughter was ready to walk down the aisle. Rebecca came up to her and gave her the necklace samuel had given her. She thanked her mother and wore the necklace proudy.

Year 1893

Rebecca is now 100 years old. She is laying on her death bed with her grandchildren crying and her daughter at her side. Rebecca tells her daughter to pass the necklace on to her first child on their wedding day. And to tell them the same. But Rebecca died before she could say why.
