Something's Wrong

I was slightly woken up by wet lips on my stomach immediately recognizing it as Mia's.
I pretended to be asleep for a little more just to see where she was going.
Her hands roamed on my bare torso till it reached the waistband on my boxers. She played with it for a while pressing a kiss on the line. Just when she was about to slide her hand in I grabbed her wrist.

"What are you doing?" I tried not to sound too excited.

"How did you sleep?" She completely ignored my question.

"Good, your bed is fluffy." I tried to push her hand of my boxers again.

"Humm." She climbed onto my lap, straddling my waist. "Good morning." She pecked my nose.

I moved my hands to her hips, pressing my fingers against her bare skin right under her top.
Mia lowered her head brushing her lips against mine giving me the perfect opportunity to grab her lower lip and suck it slightly.
A low moan escaped her mouth encouraging me to go further. With my hand I pushed her by the neck and kissed her more forcefully sliding my tongue inside her mouth and enjoying her sweet taste.
However I stopped when I felt her hand creeping inside my boxers for the third time since we woke up.

"Don't start something we can't finish." I said.

"Why not?" She pouted rocking her hips slightly.

"You're quite feisty today." I commented amused.

"I'm just happy." Mia shrugged caressing my cheek with her thumb.

"I'm glad you are." I kissed her palm and her special finger with the "ring".

After a shower and breakfast Mia and I cleaned the living room where we watched a movie last night.
The house looks decent, not that we used much of the house only the living areas and the bedroom.

"My mum texted me to warn you India's quite excited to see you, they'll arrive in a few minutes." Mia informed me staring at her phone.

"I haven't seen her in a while actually." I pointed out.

"But you speak often right?"

"Yeah of course I call her a couple times." I nodded.

"She never tells me what you too speak." She sat on the couch.

"You never tell me what you speak with my sister either." I stated.

"Because it's girls' talk, you wouldn't want to know anyway."

"I do actually, I know you talk about boys." I raised my brow.

"Never." She lied playfully and the front door cracked open.

"Saved by the bell." I watched as Mia walked to greet her mum and sister but I couldn't understand what they were saying until her sister turned to me.

"Harry!" She smiled largely.

"Hi sweety, how are you?" I hugged her tightly.

"Good, how are you?"

"Good. Ready to go to England?" I asked.

"Of course." She replied excited.

"Hello Mrs. Cortês." I kissed Mia's mum's cheek and she hugged me.

"Harry how many times do I have to tell you to call me Erica." She replied with a smile.

"Sorry."

"How was the trip?" Mia questioned.

"It was good, your aunt misses you terribly. I told her to blame a certain british boy." Mrs. Cortês I mean Erica winked at me.

"I guess I'm guilty." I looked at Mia who merely laughed.

"So I brought some food from the restaurant down the road so we can eat, India was complaining the entire drive." Erica shook her head.

"Are you hungry?" Mia placed an arm around her sister's shoulder.

"A little." She blushed.

"You said you're practically dying of hunger in the car." Her mum dished her out. "Well let's eat then, I just need to put the table."

"Why don't you and India take your bags upstairs while Mia and I set the table?" I offered.

"That would be great, thank you." Her mother smiled largely and turned to Mia to say something that made her laugh and shook her head.

"What did your mum say?" I asked when we walked to the kitchen.

"That you look hotter than the last time she saw you." She laughed again.

"She didn't." I chuckled.

"She surely did." Mia nodded and laughed loudly again. She really does look happy.

"We're back." India practically ran down the stairs followed by her mum.

"This looks good." Erica looked at the table and the food. We all sat around the table and served the food to the plates ready to eat.

"So Harry tell me how is it to live with my daughter? I imagine it can be quite hard." Her mum teased and Mia snorted.

"Oh tell me about it." I said dramatically causing everyone to laugh except Mia who hit my arm playfully.

"Are you being responsible?" Neither Mia or I understood the questions so she explained it very detailed. "I mean you sleep in the same room and you're young, your hormones are---"

"Mum..." Mia whined embarrassed interrupting her mum's speech.

"I am just saying." Erica blinked innocently just like Mia does with me sometimes.

"Can I go watch tv?" India asked uncomfortable with our adult topic right now.

"No, I was just asking a simple question."

"We're taking our life together very seriously." I tried to say.

"Good. Have you seen your father?" Her blue eyes aimed towards Mia.

"Not lately, no." Mia frowned. "He's always working anyway."

"Mia, he's your father. I'm sure he'd love to see you more often specially now you're soo close to him." Erica tried to convince Mia.

I guess she never accepted very well the path her father decided to take. The divorce was okay for her although she was young at the time to understand it properly but she never understood why her father had to go so far away from her and her sister specially, India was practically a baby when it all happened and Mia feels terrible for it.

"Okay." Mia sighed staring at her plate.

"I'm going to dad's house right?" India intervened.

"Yes you are darling." Erica urged to reply.

"She can stay with us... right?" Mia looked at me.

"Of course, we have plenty of rooms for that even if Erica wants to come either." I suggested.

"Oh thank you dear but I have to work here."

"Why don't you take a few days off? You spend your time in that office and the farthest you go lately is the south to visit our relatives." Mia tried to convince her mother.

"That's not true, I meet with my friends every week."

"Which are all girls!" Mia pointed out. "It's about time you find someone to treat you the way you deserve."

"And you think I'll find that person in London?"

"Why not?" Mia was starting to get irritated.

"Just because you found Harry doesn't mean I'll find someone there too. Plus, you never heard me complain have you?" Erica replied very sweetly like always.

"You don't know that and you've never been in London, you don't even know where I leave or who my friends are." I noticed Mia's eyes watering a bit so I squeezed her thigh trying to comfort her.

"You sent me pictures of every inch of that apartment and I've met your friends when they came here for your birthday!"

"Okay, you don't want to go, I get it." Mia finished eating even though her plate was still full.

"You're being unfair Mia, I've always done everything for you and your sister but I really have a case in hands and I need to be in court, I really can't leave Portugal."

"Okay mum." Mia sighed again clearing her plate to the sink.

"I'm going to help your sister pack her bags." Erica mirrored Mia's actions giving me a look that clearly said to calm Mia down before leaving the two of us alone.

"Are you okay?" I stood up to join Mia next to the counter.

"No." She replied, a single tear escaping down her reddened cheek.

"Why do you want your mum to go to London so badly?" I asked.

"Because I don't want her to be alone in this giant house while me and India are far away having fun." She cried. She's feeling guilty.

"Maybe she can come with us another time, in august or something when everyone's in vacations and doesn't need a lawyer?"

"I feel terrible for her being here alone."

"I know baby, I know." I wrapped my arms around her stroking her hair.

"Do we really have to go today?" My emotional Mia asked snuggling against my chest.

"I really need to but you can stay with your mum for a few days if you want?" I tried to comfort her.

"Why do you have to go?" She tilted her head to look at me. "Because I have interviews and we're still doing some studio work for the album." I explained. If I knew I could stay I would in a heartbeat.

"Okay."

"So will you stay here?" I planted a kiss on top of her head.

"No, I go with you." She replied.

"Are you sure? I can take India with me, she stays at our house for a couple days and when you join us there we go to your father's."

"No, my mum's right, India hasn't seen her dad in a couple months and I know she misses him."

"You're doing the right thing." I held her tighter so she knows she's safe in my arms.

"Do you know why?" She asked looking straight into my eyes.

"Are you going to say it's because of me?" I smirked.

"No, it's because of this." She showed me her left hand with my drawing still intact on her finger. "Our compromise, I know you'll always be there to hold my hand." Mia replied.

"Just like I know you'll always be there to hold mine." I locked our fingers.

"I will." She promised.

"Good." I kissed her promised finger and then her mouth.

"Eww!!" India scrunched her nose when she spotted me and her sister snogging in the kitchen.

"You din't see anything." Mia winked, her mood much better than before.

"You can't erase that from my memory now." Mia number two crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Are you sure?" Mia ran to her tickling her sides.

"No Mia, stop!!" India tried to escaped her sister's assaulting hands.

"What is going on here?" Their mother appearing on the doorway amused.

"I saw Harry and Mia doing that!" India replied hiding behind me.

"That?" Erica's eyes widened.

"She meant kissing." Mia rolled her eyes.

"Oh. Thank God."

"What did you think I see?" India peeked still behind me. I decided to interrupt the awkward silence.

"Me tickling your sister." I turned around swiftly picking her up, her squeals just like her sister's.

"So I think everything's practically ready but I think you Mia should have a look at your sister luggage." Her mother blinked sweetly. Humm...

"Is there something missing?" Mia questioned confused.

"No, it's just you know better what she needs because of the weather and stuff..."

"Oh uh okay..." Mia diverted her eyes to me.

"I'll keep your mum company until you two return." I assured her.

Erica watched silently as her two daughters disappeared from the kitchen and waited until we could no longer hear their voices before turning to me worriedly.

"Is everythink alright?" I asked her getting a little concerned.

"There's something I have to tell you Harry but first I need you to promise me you won't tell Mia a word no matter what. Can you do that for me?" She held my hand in hers, the blue eyes her daughter heritaged desperatly borrowing into mine.

Notes

Hello everyone, thank you for your support on my new story! I'll keep writing it but not for now because Harry and Mia will always be my favourite couple and I like how the story will evolve from now on so I want to completely focus on this!

@M.J.

It's amazing how you know my writing and that I don't do happily ever after which is true but I don't think I've ever mentioned that (?)
And yes, I'm replying 6 months later, sorry.
I do envision the next step after that last chapter ended but that, of course, is gonna stay in my head. :)
