I lay her down with and tell her to sleep, then quietly leave the room, I go downstairs and put on my sneakers and quietly close the door, I run down the street to the corner shop outside I carefully pull out the tissue containing the blades and put them in the bin. I go in straight to the confectionary section and get 2 chocolate bars, then I go get a tub of Ben and Jerrys. I go pay and I get a tap on my shoulder,
"Meggy! You left quick the other night!"
"Hey ell, yeah things were hotting up yannno"
"haha yeah , you and Kat alright? I sent her 3 texts and she hasn't replied!"
"Oh yeah she's fine!" I fake "hmm well I'll ask her when I'm home, actually I think she's lost it.." At the moment my phone rings, I pull it out and
"Kitty<3"
flashes across the screen, I feel my cheeks flush with colour, she knows kitty means Kat, she knows I've been lying.
"As long as I've done nothing wrong! And she's okay I won't ask!?"
"You haven't done anything ell..and she's fine! I'll get her to reply to you" I try to smile.. She hugs me tight
"you know my number MeggyMoo" and we take our shopping and leave seperate ways..
I charge back home and shove the Ice cream in the freezer and the chocolate in the fridge, kick off my sneakers and run up to Kats room.
"Hey meggles" I giggle at her name for me
"how you doing Kitty Kat?"
"I'm okay I guess.."
I can see she doesn't wanna talk about it, so I won't pressure we to.
" I got some ice cream and chocolate, fancy a Harry potter marathon?" She laughs,
"you know me so well meggles, I'd love nothing more"
I help her out of bed and we make our way downstairs, grabbing the duvet as we do so.
I sit her on the sofa and watch as she presses the numbers for messages on the phone, "you have one new message"
beep "darlingssss! I won't be home till late late this evening! So cook your own dinner and don't wake me up in the morning!" Beep
whatta mother eh, "stupid women" Kat mutters, our mother isn't a real mother, she doenst care about either of us, only thing she thinks about is herself!
