Alice's POV:

It's Monday today. Yesterday I had a lazy day, which means I stayed home wearing sweats. I was awake since 5a.m in the morning today. I couldn't sleep, and this isn't something unusual. Sleep just doesn't get to me sometimes.

I didn't have anything to do for an hour so I took a shower, straightened my hair, then braided them and did my nails in a turquoise color, I used to dip-dye my hair that color, but when my dad died I cut the part of my hair that was colored. It was out of respect towards my dad, he never approved of me dip-dyeing my hair.

I know I'm not a very.. feminine girl but I do take care of myself like a grown-up woman would. The difference between me and the other high-school sluts is that I am.. mature.

It was 5:45a.m now, I still had plenty of time so I just lied down on my bed and listened to some music on my iPod.

I opened my eyes after a while and it was 6:30a.m. Good, I have 20 minutes left and then I'll get to school.

I got up and changed into a grey, with black sleeves t-shirt, a black baggy jacket that falls loosely, I wore black leggings with colorful crucifixes everywhere and my sparkly grey uggs. I glanced at the time again and saw that it was time to go downstairs and have some breakfast.

Mom was making some breakfast in the kitchen.

''Good morning mom.'' I kissed her on the cheek and sat down at the table.

''Good morning love.'' she smiled and sat on the table placing some scrambled eggs and bacon in front of us.

''So when are you leaving for China?'' I asked.

''Tomorrow morning.'' she stated. I panicked for a second because I wasn't aware that it was so soon.

''Oh.. Okay.'' I smiled and she smiled back.

''You know, I heard China sells nice clothing!'' she cheered.

''Mooom, just go do your business thingy and come back!'' I tapped her on the shoulder, both of us laughing.

''Did you think I'll go all the way across the world far away from my favorite girl,'' at this moment she got up and hugged my neck from behind leaving a kiss on the top of my head and grabbing her plate to go and wash it to the sink.''and not buy her anything? Are you mad?!''

I laughed at her and brought my plate to the sink.

''Whatever mom, I'll see you after school, okay?'' I said giving her another kiss on her other cheek. She smiled.

''Okay hun! In the meantime I'll go take a nap. Tomorrow is a big day.'' I heard her saying before I ran upstairs to the bathroom to wash my teeth and apply some perfume.

I ran downstairs and opened the front door.

''Bye mom!''

I waited until I heard her shouting back.

''Bye hun!''

Harry's POV: I woke up by the sound birds chirping. That's strange.. Usually I am awakened by my dad banging the door or hitting me. I then heard the door being knocked. Not a pounding but a soft and gentle knock.

I ran downstairs to open the door, revealing two police men.

''Mr. Harry Styles?''

''Yes?''

''Your father is under police custody for misbehaving to one of our police men and pointing a gun against another one.''

''Wh-What?!'' I said, panicking.

''Yes. We just wanted to inform you that he will be staying in jail for a couple of years for using an illegal weapon.''

''Um.. Are you sure he is my dad?''

''Yes sir, we checked his wallet and his ID.''

''If you ever want to pay him a visit here is the programme of our visiting hours.'' the other one said, giving me a piece of paper with the visiting hours.

''Um, thank you?'' I said, coming out as a question.

They nodded and left. I closed the door and looked around the house.

I was by myself. For two years. What a relief, what a miracle. I threw the programme in the trash and I quickly ran up the stairs, took a shower, ate breakfast, wore my usual jacket, shirt and jeans and exited the front door.
I still can't believe this.

This is the first time I wrote a short chapter but I swear I'll make it up to you. You must know though, that this will be one hella week for me so I might slow down the updates. No cliffhangers for now don't worry. This is a filler chapter so.. yeah.
