“ My name is Joseph I know your father because he is my brother, when I saw you perform your first gig. I knew I had to manage you just look like your dad, speaking of your dad I have a special person that came all the way here tonight to see you perform.”

I took a deep breath to find out who it was, if it was my dad I swear to God I will freak out right now. “MY LITTTLLLLEEEE ANGEL!!!!”, Oh my God it was my dad I have missed him so much. I run to him like when I was a little girl he would lift me around and spin me around. His hug I have missed so much, I am missed my dad so much he should me the love and support for everything in my life.

When I gave him the hug it was like I didn’t want to let go, I have missed hugging him so much. Every night I would pray to God, that I would see my dad again thank to my manager which is his brother I got to see him again.

Me: “Dad I have missed you so much, so many things have been happening in my life and just seeing you right now here with me makes me feel better. I have missed you and my brother so much, since my bro passed away I have been feeling lost dad. I needed you to come back I needed to see you in person, I needed love dad mom and I haven’t been in good terms at all after bro passed away. I was lonely needed someone to see you thank God for, Starla and her dad but I prayed that I would see you now that I saw you I can thank God for answering my prayers.”

Dad:” My child, you have grown up to be a strong lady do you know that, a lady with a strong mind and a strong heart. Only a lady can go through life like you are doing now, I have seen all your poetry do you remember your first poetry you performed. That was the proudest day of my life, I had to see you in person tonight to thank you for inspiring me to become a better person. I have missed you so much my love, I prayed everyday before I actually take off the plane since I am a pilot. I always pray that I would see you before I die, now that I saw the beautiful women you have evolved to I can die peacefully now.”

I started crying “dad please, don’t say that you can die now I need to stay with me for a little while dad. I have no family mom abandoned me I tried texting her and calling her, no reply so I guess she doesn’t really want me in her life you on the other hand you have always loved me as a person. Therefore dad don’t say that, I love you so much with all my heart and I just wanted to tell you it’s okay I forgive you for living us alone last year.

Dad started crying I wiped the tears off his face, this man has done so much to my family and I mom just couldn’t realize it. That is why they got divorced, he was bending backwards for everyone in the family. There were times where he would come back home and just sleep, just to stop his hunger. I love my dad, that is why I am the person I am today is because of him.


Dad and I ended up having dinner with Joseph, Starla and her dad. We talked, had a laugh together and just talked about how beautiful life is for all of us right now thank God. This was the best day of my life meeting my dad after a year, and still hasn’t changed one bit I love you dad.
