That could work, I was going to make the boys the main characters, and it would be bad if their personalities were over-shadowed by the brothers.

I am definitely feeling as if this cross over could work a charm! The only thing with AU is that you'll have to make the boys personalities really strong not to get washed aside by Dean and Sam's (because you know, it's almost like you're setting the story for them.) My only other idea would be maybe pick two of the boys to play the 'Sam & Dean' roles and have the other three having a holiday in the states?
