I'm really confused

What's the difference between NC17 and R Rated movies

(I'm from England. We have a different rating system over here)

Someone explain it in the simplest terms possible and I will give you a cameo in my story maybe as a family member or good friend of the main character

NC-17 absolutely no one under 17 should read (if it's a movie, no one under 17 is allowed even if accompanied by an adult) and R is restricted which means that you can read (or watch a movie) with an adult present or since its reading you need an adult's permission.

You're welcome. Although I will say that ratings are hard to enforce in the site so they don't really mean anything. Anyone can read your stories regardless of rating so it's left up to the viewers to follow.
