Ratings are dropping?

I was looking through popular yesterday and tonight and a lot of stories views dropped. They did to have a 10.00 rating now they have like a 9.4 or 8.5. Why?

I know right, this morning I had a lot of 10's and now they've just dropped.

I noticed this, too. Both my stories were a 10 and now they're both an 8.1. I think someone might be jelly of the new stories.

Or is just a 12 year old troll.

I also noticed that even though my rates dropped, I have about three or four more votes than I had.

Its so weird. I don't know why they would do it for no reason. It's probably like two or three people doing it

It has to be more than one person, the rating of a 10.00 would go down to like a 9.9 or 9.8. People are so rude, it really annoys me

On really popular stories, it'd have to be more than one person. I've noticed that the site averages ratings and that's how you wind up with weird things like 9.2, 9.8, 8.6, and so on. On small time stories with only one or two ratings, it wouldn't be that hard since you're averaging 10, 10, and 1 then dividing it by three. At the end of the day though, peeps ain't got no life yo

Makes me wonder what kind of satisfaction they get from getting stories a low rating? I, for one, prefer views and subscribers over ratings. Those they can't mess with it and it says a lot about a story if they have a ton of subscribers.

I like having a 9.something rating because then I feel like either a-someone rated it what they thought it was worth or b-there's someone out there who just hates it and gave it a one (which I don't care about, comments and subs are where it's at ;D). I'll admit, I've one starred shit stories on the BVB site but I have like a whooole quota for that. And I've done at least TWO reviews for Kaleigh on here and the girl knows how to write so there's no reason for it. And looking up other people in this thread, there's no reason for them to have it happen either. Someone's just bored -.-

Yeah you're totally right. I have nothing against people being honest with the ratings, but this is obviously someone just being rude and annoying.

I only have two (of my own) stories but they're both at a 10 level?? I'm not sure but ( our little cherry blossoms ) only has four or sumthin' votes while NCW has thirteen...?
