Hair emergency lol

So long story short: I tried bleaching my hair and it didn't work. My hair was previously a very dark brown (I dyed it that color like three months ago) and I decided to go back to blonde, but after three boxes of bleach, it only made my roots an orange color.

Does anyone have any hair dying experience? If so, what bleach brand should I use to make my hair platinum blonde because I don't want to go to school with my hair like this....

Go and find the most inked up hair stylist in your town. Those ones always know what to do. Mine not only stripped the black out of my hair but dyed it red in the same sitting to bring me back to my natural strawberry :3 she also helped me go from looking like Barbie to Marilyn Monroe when I bleached it

But we also have an obscenely good relationship so she knows EXACTLY what I mean when I give her a colour (like my Little Ariel red hair I had for a while and even explained the science behind red dyes fading quicker than blues or yellows)

Ehh. I dye my hair way too often (now it's half black, half white ).

L'Oreal Platinum works, but it sure as hell expensive,

I use it anyway lol

Okay thanks! And it's so hard to find a stylist that understands what you want and is totally cool about it :P I'm glad you found one though, they're a rare species lol

@Sunrise.
That's exactly the brand I used and it didn't work :/ my uncle is taking me to a hair dresser tomorrow though. Thanks anyway!!

A box dye won't make hair lighter. You need to use peroxide and a developer. 30vol. equal parts. leave it on the lengths of hair for longer than the roots or you'll damage and break the hair. after that - to get any orangey/mango kinda color to go away you'll need a toner to go over it.

You need to strip it -- get a color corrector but know your hair will be shit when you're done. Dark box dye is the HARDEST to get out and no matter how much you try, you're going to have a brassy undertone love.

Moral of the story -- box dye is the DEVIL.
