Does anyone know what sore throat is a symptom of?

Like, I don't have a runny nose or a couch but when I swallow - anything - my throat hurts like hell.

I haven't eaten since last night.

It's a symptom of strep but I don't have any fever or rashes (which I tend to get a lot)

I don't know what to take, and too busy to go checkup

viral infection or even the start of a flu like illness. there are different degrees of everything. do you have any other unusual symptoms?
