anyone up to anything?
@rebel.
I know I'm a bit late with this, but I saw 1D at MetLife Stadium not too long ago. They were amazing. Other than that, however, I have been studying for the SATs among other things haha.
@rebel.
Thank you cx. Have you been doing anything fun? I'm trying to plan a sweet 16 for myself, and its more difficult now that my dad gave me his budget. 1500$ isn't much to work with in a city like NYC.
@yellowdiamonds
oh man, i remember when i was 16 - that was a few years ago now haha.
not really; just more studying and more studying. i swear i'll become part of the furniture at the university i attend soon.
@yellowdiamonds
You get to plan yours? D: my parents only let me pick out the colours and the music. But we sent a joke invite to Ozzy Osbourne who replied with an autograph so that wasn't so bad :P invite celebrities. At worst they send you stuff :D
@rebel.
I don't like remembering when I was 16 OR college. Then again 16 years old and being in the 11th grade didn't work out so well for me and I was never a big college person anyway to be honest. Plus the professors at the one I dropped out of were dipshits and basically overpaid daycare monitors.
@Call_Me_Godot
Haha yeah. I had to be the one planning it since my dad didn't want to hire a professional. If it was down to him, my sweet 16 would probably be me and my friends having a meal at White Castle or Wendy's since he's quite frugal with his money.
School starts up for me again on September 9th and I'm actually looking forward to junior year and slaying the SATs. I got a 1920 on my last practice test and plan on taking 3 more before the October Exam. Writing is my best section so I'm going to try to bring up Critical Reading and Math a bit more.
I hope all is well with you (:
@rebel.
Whenever I tour universities or colleges, the first thing I look at is their libraries. That's where I do most of my studying now anyway haha. Are you taking exams soon?
@yellowdiamonds
i have 2 months until exams start. :( not looking forward to it.
@Call_Me_Godot
i'm sorry your experience was not so great. i honestly never wanted to leave.
@rebel.
Shit happens lol I actually didn't want to go in the first place- I wanted to do Peace Corps. But my parents wanted me to major in graphic design so I tried a year. I spent most of my time in the smokers pit either discussing that day's history lecture or how a zombie apocalypse would occur
@yellowdiamonds
I'll be better when I'm off work ;P but I think planning your own could have its perks. My parents wanted me to have a DJ but I have a lot of friends in bands that I wanted to have play. We went with the DJ. I didn't really want a theme (which is weird because I love costume parties) but my parents decided we'd have a rockstar theme (because nothing says 16 like dressing up like an 80s glam band). I wanted Dominos. We got Subway. Lol so at least you'll have the freedom to do what YOU want to do and if it's your birthday then THATS what matters :P
@rebel.
Not really. The pits are a good place to make a little cash since people are willing to buy cigarettes off of people so I always carried a second pack. Plus there were a lot of philosophical types that would hang around and talk about life and the world and obviously zombies lol I also made most of my college friends there too. If I wasn't at the cafe drinking tea then I'd be in the pit discussing whatever the topic of the day was. Minus the smell it was fun :D
@Call_Me_Godot
sorry i'm late to reply. got caught up making pancakes.
just out of curiisoty - are you continuing your story the piano man?
@rebel.
Gee whiz >.> I'm not going to lie, I really don't know. I have a very bad habit of starting stories but never finishing them.
my life has unfortunately begun to revolve around studying 24/7.
anyone up to anything interesting?
