New Story Idea! HELP!!

Hey guys! I'm really wanting to get back in the game and write an amazing story. I'm really into the dark, horror side of writing and I wanted to start one!

I'm at a bit of a blank and wanted some help!? like what would you guys want and expect out of a horror/ thriller story? Character roles, how you want them to be portrayed. All those things because I want it to be a contribution and make something so small into a big thing. Please pm me or comment! Id also be very happy if someone wanted to Co write!

why don't you read some horror/darker style stories an then ask for help if you're still stuck? sorry to be rude if that's how i come across but the only way you'll learn what to incorporate is by reading such genres. people could give you character roles and such but you still wouldn't be executing anything correctly if you don't have a basis or anything to refer from.

plus, coming up with characters is by far one of my favorite parts of coming up with a story, why on earth wouldn't you want to do this yourself?
