Someone stole my story, along with others on this website!

Hey, So I was on wattpad and I noticed a story called "Stay with me" and I checked it out and it was the exact same as mine. And then I went to her profile and I noticed 4 other stories that I saw on her that she might have stolen as well. He wattpad username is @OneDirection088 she is Rigel- Writetospeck, (Link Here: http://www.wattpad.com/user/OneDirection088 ) and she is claiming them as hers as she says in her bio thingy.

The other stories she may have stolen are
1.) The Misfits by @iknowplaces
2.) When Im Gone by @KAOT
3.) My Light by @ KAOT
4.) Best Friends Forever by @Harrehspizza


Now, this is not cool. We have worked hard on our stories and for someone who thinks they can just steal them and claim them as theirs? nope, not happening. Please help me inform the other authors who have gotten their story stolen by this person and help me get her to take them down. its not right. we need to stop her x

Hi, I'm friend of KAOT and I just messaged her. Thank you for letting us know about this. I had mine stolen months ago and the procedure to have it removed wasn't very complicated, though only the righteous owner can do the claim. So you'll have to create an account on Wattpad in order to get it deleted :/

I know right, me too. It's so disrespectful to take something someone has worked so hard on and claim it as their own.

so many stories have been stolen from this website because it's so easy to copy and paste from, and it's not right.

I know. It forced me to put my story there, which wasn't my intention. But once your story is on wattpad it prevents people from continuing to steal it.

Agreed. I hope all owners/authors respectively get the story copies taken down.

Yes, that is true. I post my stories on here because it's way easier to get noticed here than on wattpad, but it has a higher chance of getting stolen. I just hope that people stop stealing stories, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon...

i guess it's just a fingers crossed kind of situation.
it sucks that writers are forced to post on a place they don't like/or want to avoid it from being copied.

This forum saddens me. :-( Although I haven't been the victim of this, it breaks my heart to find incredible works you ladies have invested so much time and energy into stolen.

There really isn't anything else for me to say, except for that I hope this whole issue gets resolved quickly. :-)

It has happened to me twice. I hope everything gets sorted out, ladies. If she doesn't delete them, start telling the readers who comment and stuff who's story it really is. But the main thing to do is report her obviously on Wattpad.

its happened to me too! And the person that done it to me didn't even bother to change the character's names. She made it completely obviously! That's so childish of someone to do that. They're just too lame and suckish to come with their own ideas. They had to steal your amazing ones just to get noticed.
