story idea - need to if it's good!

It's called Dollhouse. I've been having this in mind for a while, but never had the guts to ever post it.

It's about girl a whose 6th birthday was coming up, so her whole family went ask out and planned a big party for her. On the day of her birthday, she receives many presents but the one she loved the most was the pretty pink Barbie dollhouse. From the day that she got it, she played with it nonstop until she got older. From that point she locked it up in the basement of her house, and went on with her life. That was until she found out that she was moving to California.

With agreeing to go, she packed up everything; including the dollhouse she stopped playing with when she was 10. But with packing it up, she found she still had dolls up in it. Throwing them away and getting ready to leave her home, when she got in the car, her and her mom stuffed everything in the trunk - but the dollhouse couldn't fit so girl a sat it up there with her.

Long story short - the dolls would always reappear back in the dollhouse but standing in different positions everytime. Places in which she was in, giving on signals trying to warn her of something that's out to get her.

How was that?

there's a movie concept that this reminds me of but by gosh i freaking love the idea non the less!
would the dolls always be the same that came back? like would other stuff randomly appear as well which gave off the vibe and indication she was grown up as well?

i think it would be really awesome jf you set this up with your characters as adults and added a child in who would end up playing with the dollhouse and being all "mommy, check this out!" and the mother is freaked because of the scenarios her daughter has found/created with the toy.

eh, don't mind my babbling, i just get excited.

To answer your questions - no, the dolls would not be the same that came back ( like maybe some old late family members) and yes it will; um kinda take a tv for example - it would always black out when rain pours, but now it happens often. I'd that make sense.

This reminds me of the book The Dollhouse Murders. I like the concept, but make sure you have a reason to why the dolls are moving around inside the dollhouse. Who's moving them and why. Other than that, it could be a good story.

@One Direction 1O1

thanks and I do. It'd be amazing if you could give me some tips on horror stories, since your are good with them.

I agree with @One Direction 101 you'd need to have sense as to why things are happening and whise moving what. In regards to your dollhouse thibg with the tv; im assuming dolljouses are the same as they use to be and have items that dont work. I think stuff predicting weather and such is a little unrealistic. Perhaps just have the dolls represent events that will happen in the characters lives?

You're welcome!

OmiGod I read the same book. They also do something pretty similar in Sweet Miss Honeywell's Revenge.

@wintergreen
I collect porcelain dolls and I've always wanted an antique dollhouse. I'd be incredibly interested to see what you did with it. There just has to be a why. Why the dolls move. Why does anyone care that they move. Why do they notice that they've moved if it was a forgotten toy. But otherwise I think this is cool.

@Call_Me_Godot

I will think of that. Mostly everything is figured out, really.
