Im making this because i hate that i am called emo for liking Pierce The Veil over fucking The Weekend.

Can we PLEASE fucking bring rock back?

emo is such a funny term. My sister use to be called that so much in the early 2000's. I find it funny that its still around. I don't understand why people can't just like music without having to put a label on the artist or listener :(

The only people who call me emo are my brother (because he's an uneducated dipshit and seems to think labelling himself grunge is cool. Labels are gross) and my boyfriends super redneck friend who doesn't understand that "screamo" is not a fucking genre. He thinks me my boyfriend and his brother are all emo because we like Upon A Burning Body, We Are Harlot, and La Dispute. >.> not a single one of us is emo...

I tell someone I like Pierce the Veil and Bring Me the Horizon-I'm emo.

I go to Warped Tour and wear Tripp skirts to concerts-I'm emo.

I dye dye, bleach, and straighten my hair- I'm emo.

I used to burn and cut- I'm emo.

If I HAD to put a label on myself, I'd say I'm alternative. A regular outfit for me is black skinnys, Vans, and a band shirt or shorts, fishnets, and a flannel over a tank top. Just because I wear a lot of eyeliner doesn't mean anything (I'm just actually really bad at makeup XD). Depression isn't so uncommon anymore (plus I'm walking around unmedicated). I don't consider myself a pessimist, I consider myself a realist. I don't have the dumb teased ultra straight scene hair- I either look like a strawberry Harry Styles or Axl Rose depending on whether I straighten it or not.

People are just too quick to jump the gun XD it's dumb

How I dress and do my make up- I wear heavy eyeliner, I hate dresses, I wear skinny jeans, converse and Nirvana shirt, yep im so fucking emo...

Don't even get me started about my Avril Lavigne hair..

I cut and pity myself daily, i don't say im emo.. i usually would say im punk girlygirl..

I hate Bryan. That interview he did with nevershoutnever! where he cried in the bathroom because Christofer Drew Ingle was "soooo mean" to him pissed me off. Like sorry Chris wants to be taken seriously as a musician bro. But I do like his interviews-I like watching the musicians cut loose and be goofy :P

I don't understand the whole 'labelling' thing and I do hope that you don't let it get yourself down. It just seems ridiculous. You like something because you like it. People need to get off their high horses :/
