Story Length Help

Hey guys so I'm rather confused on here story wise. I'm getting ready to write a new story and it seems like on here the preference is short chapters daily? I'm on other sites that prefer longer chapters. Could you guys let me know you opinion. I had figured longer chapters were better because short chapters usually end up crappy and devoid of detail and sometimes make the story seem choppy?
Let me know what you think please :)

(Oh and by chapter length this is what I mean:
Really really short: Literally a paragraph (yes I've seen them)
really short: Like 2 paragraphs and sparse detail
Short: a couple of paragraphs bits of detail and better dialogue
Medium: Several paragraphs detailed and good dialogue (1500-2500 words)
Long: 3000+ word of detail and excellent dialogue gives a full picture)

I write like the medium and that's how I like it.......... because if it's to short then it's just kinda hard to read and it's it's to long it takes to long to get to the next chapter.. but this is my opnion.

I would like to think that my chapters on my stories are somewhere in between medium and long. Don't do short chapters, personally I find them SO annoying. But long, long chapters can also lessen the reader's interest if it drags on. Make it the perfect length to leave the reader in suspense and wanting more! Because Like she said short chapters are boring. Long chapters take forever you read.

So.. Yeah medium

I write long, but in all honesty you should write till you feel the chapter is over, not until you feel it's too long. because there are some chapters that could be 200 words, and some chapters that could be 20,000 words. Let it flow ! ~

As a long time reader; I prefer things that sit at medium. Especially if they are well formatted. It makes it easier on the eyes and simple to follow. Any more than that and you've lost my attention half way through most of the time unless the story is extremely engaging. Anything shorter and I won't really bother going past the first few chapters.

Agreed with all of the above.
Medium length keeps readers hanging on that little more so I've noticed in the past.
Anything more and it can get strained and old quickly.
