Online schooling?

My mom and I were talking about me being home school. But we have no idea how and where to start. If anyone has any experience on being home school online can you please tell me information about how to be home school?
Thanks

I think it depends on where you're from and what year level you're in. Just google 'homeschooling (insert where your from here)' and see what comes up. I was going to do homeschooling when my parents moved overseas for a year for work but decided I'd rather end up at a school because I wanted the social interaction.

I'm sure the school you're currently at could even help out with questions.

I'm homeschool and have been for most of my school years (I had a brief stint with private school) and I'd be more then happy to answer any questions.
But the basics:

1. Make sure you have all the paperwork done to homeschool. You have to send a letter into the school about your intent to homeschool (I'm not sure about the k12 program though)

2. Decide what courses you are going to take (unlike real school they can be according to intelligence level instead of grade level)

3. If you want to online school look them up online. (I take potter school and Liberty online academy but they are christian homeschool programs)

4. If you dont want to do it online look up curriculum catalogs and find the books to do it. (quick tip: if your mom isn't comfortable teaching the subject to you then get a program that is either the easy version or comes with some sort of help or you can find someone to tutor you)

5. Take careful transcripts. If you keep careful records you wont have colleges asking for your GED when you graduate. Just make sure you know what assignments you did what your grades are and photocopy the first couple pages of your textbooks (the pages with the table of contents and the copyright information) there are companies you can use to make official transcripts if you want. Oh and if you want to go to college and they ask for a GED dont take it you shouldnt need one (If the ask for it contact an agency like HSLDA and they will take care of it)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions
