How do u get so many votes on a story?

OK so I try to make a great story put the most votes I have gotten on a story is 20. And I see all of these stories with like 290 votes. So what I want to know is how do you get a lot of votes. I feel so left out.

Don't feel left out. That's more votes than me. Some writers ask for them. Other stories get them because of how they are written and how long they have been around. Just depends on who is reading at the time and what they're into :)

Yeah, at least you get comments and one of your stories has 26 votes...I think you're doing pretty good. I can call myself happy if I get one single comment on a 6k long chapter.

Well, the more chapters, the more people will see it. The more people see it, more chances of getting more votes! Don't give up! Or it'll never get that many!!!!! :D

In regards to votes.
1. Update in the afternoon. Mass amount of readers are on.
2. Do stories and co author. When you co author with other people on different stories, you gain friends, and possible subscribers.
3. Ask for Reviews. (Prepare for some harsh commentary)
4. Mingle with other readers and ask for feedback.
5. Make sure chapters are somewhat long, and catchy
6. Always make room for improvement.
